Learning From Previous Mistakes

The new release follows the heels of the sci-fi the previous game, launched previously to a negative feedback it struggled to overcome.

"It's likely that we couldn't create and produce the latest entry lacking the insights we gained in the last release," Rebecka tells our team.

Among those takeaways was to engage the community engaged from the start, and the developers started closed player playtests not long ago.

Their "response was extremely encouraging," says she.

Another missing ingredient from the previous installment was a story mode, which has been restored this time around.

Criterion creative lead the design director is the person in charge of "guaranteeing those stages are as entertaining and interesting as possible for the audience."

In spite of claims that the size of the project had created pressure for the various teams partnering across continents to build the game, he is optimistic about the endeavor.

"Collaborating with varied cultures, different backgrounds, it's a very engaging atmosphere to be involved in on a regular basis," he says.

"This whole approach has been a fresh take but additionally really exciting because we are collaborating with individuals from around the globe."

As for the pressure on the developers, the director states: "There is pressure but at the same time it's motivating.

"We're dealing with a big venture. It's likely the biggest that the majority of the team have before participated in."

Emerging Talent Contributes Fresh Insight

"It's very amazing seeing the marketing in many places," he comments.

"To know that I have added my personal touch into the title is truly surreal."
