Iranian Forces State Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Regional Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity close to the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is not yet known and the United States has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - said they have shot down missiles in their air space.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on the Islamic Republic initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the leadership.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military said it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with notable success and destroyed a several projectiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported debris fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
