Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes text commentary for the weekend matchups on various channels, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, radio commentary can be heard on select stations for another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the NFL season and following last week's discussion regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as possible championship contenders, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.

Striking in those games was the number of penalties each conceded. Philadelphia committed them in key moments so they essentially beat themselves having led by two touchdowns going into the final quarter versus Denver, set to play overseas this weekend.

But it proved positive to observe that Denver quarterback Bo Nix was able to have that deficit before lead three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the game 21-17.

Denver have the defensive player of the year with cornerback their star corner. They rank number one in red zone defence, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, yet the Broncos prevailed in that battle.

They had effective strategies regarding disguised blitzes. They did not necessarily rushing more than four pass rushers instead they could plug two LBs in the 'A' gap then drop them out and send a nickel from the outside.

At the start in the campaign, it was noted during a show how the Broncos could be the current year's surprise contenders. They ended last season well then excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's underdog story?

Recently acquired tight end their tight end has excelled significantly while recent RB their rusher is a guy they believe in. He's currently fifth league-wide for rushing yards (402) as well as tied-fourth in rushing scores (4).

I love how the coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.

That shows how Denver represent a squad aiming to run first, since one can achieve much based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush while maintains in favourable situations.

This has helped quarterback the young passer, who came the NFL as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 touchdown passes – just behind Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to throw all over, however they don't move the mobility as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he's so athletic.

His assets include his movement, being able to throw while moving, and finding different arm angles to make throws when he rolls outside protection, the bootlegs. He can deliver precision throws over the middle and over the corner.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he's got great poise in the pocket and isn't bothered by extra rushers. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able pass under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and is quick to decide.

If you constantly run the ball it consumes the clock and forces the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and when you have a mobile QB the defence has to defend the area vertically side to side. This proves exhausting.

The quarterback has pushed back at Payton on the sideline sometimes and it seems Payton appreciates that attitude, that he's a fierce rival. I think it's fun for the coach to have a young quarterback who's kind of like play-dough. The coach can really develop him the way he wants to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach owns a Super Bowl and now surpassed a legend in all-time victories (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed everything. I think the success the Broncos are having offensively is mostly down to his leadership, his play-calling, his game sense – and the pairing with the QB aids make him what he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to help you during difficult moments and build confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet is the team good enough to face a top squad at its best? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Right now, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're working above average, that's a solid position to be in their division. The key to do to continue this path.

They're really good at embracing their forte, that is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do versus the Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (in the bottom ten), and they're the only team yet to win any game.

Since the league started recording takeaways in 1933, the Jets are the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway through five games, which is kind of shocking considering that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start after Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

Following the upcoming matchup, Denver have a manageable slate up to their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, the Texans and the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In their division, Kansas City are 2-3 while Denver are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the West.

This hinges on which form Kansas City shows up they face because the Broncos {beat|def
