AC Shadows Introduces Bizarre AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.
The questline centers on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke

This release also introduces the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
