A Pig's Tale: Hog Named Six Seven Spared by Miami Dade County Leader.

It might not have been at the identical stature as sparing Thanksgiving turkeys, but the county's top official experienced a Donald Trump moment this week by ceremoniously saving the life of a pig named Six Seven.

Daniella Levine Cava performed the seasonal stunt at the Cuban-style Latin Cafe 2000 in the heart of Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood.

“This animal is guiltless. She is worthy of this pardon. Her criminal record is spotless,” stated the mayor in a speech with inescapable allusions to the vast quantity of pardons issued since the beginning of a current administration.

“If we disregard eating six or seven apples per day,” she went on. “May this pig enjoy a lengthy and joyful existence away from worry.”

The event, simultaneously observing and challenging the local cultural practice of consuming swine during the holidays, was created to replicate the annual turkey pardoning at the White House.

The animal, contributed by a Coral Gables firefighter, was christened after the modern linguistic fad of young people yelling “six seven” – originating from a rap song lyric – often for no discernable reason. The phrase became so widespread that a prominent word reference recently named “six-seven” its annual vocabulary selection.

A New Life

This particular pig is now destined to live out its days at a farm sanctuary “away from grills and cookware”, according to the event’s official press release.

“This swine clemency has become a cherished method to open the holiday season,” said Eric Castellanos, in a notably cheerful message.

“It captures the essence of Miami: happy, diverse, and grounded in customs that bring people together. Each year, we are proud to celebrate tradition and kindness in a way unique to Miami.”

Attendees enjoyed a meat-free selection of spinach fritters and strong coffee as they toasted Six Seven’s big moment.
